What Free and Pro include in PlayThis.Live, how limits work, and how to upgrade from DJ Admin → Subscription.

Available plans

PlayThis.Live offers a Free plan and a Pro plan. The Free plan is forever free and gives you core features with a limit on how many active events you can run per month, and each event can last up to 24 hours. Pro removes the monthly event limit, lets a single event run for up to 30 days, and adds advanced analytics, a song catalog (with CSV import) and pre-event request modes (Catalog or Any song), CSV export, approving or rejecting requests after an event ends, marking requests as Already played from the Booth, song BPM & Key or Camelot on Booth requests, Request Board, and DJ Integration (export song requests to your playlists and DJ software). You can upgrade or change plans anytime from DJ Admin → Subscription.

On Free, Pro-only tools such as analytics, song catalog / CSV import, CSV export, approving or rejecting requests after an event ends, Already played, Song BPM & key, Request Board, DJ Integration, and events longer than 24 hours show an upgrade path instead of unlocking by accident. Tip Jar stays available on Free.

Free plan

$0/month — Perfect for getting started. No credit card required.

• Up to 3 active events per month — You can have up to 3 non-archived events active in a given month. An active event is one you're using for requests (live or upcoming). Archived events don't count toward this limit.
• 1 event edit per month — Free users can edit an existing event once per month (for example, change start/end dates or the event password). Edits count when you save changes to those details.
• Public events — Create events anyone with the link can open and request songs from — no event password required. Available on Free and Pro.
• Private events — Create private events that aren't open to the public the same way as a fully open link — guests need the access you share. Available on Free and Pro.
• Password-protected events — Add an event password so only guests with the shared password can submit song requests. Event password protection is free for all users on Free and Pro.
• Unlimited song requests per event — There is no cap on how many song requests an event can receive. Attendees can submit as many requests as you allow per your event settings.
• Tip Jar — Enable the Tip Jar so that after every X song requests (you set the threshold), attendees see an option to tip you via Venmo and/or Cash App. No card processing or attendee account on our side — you share your own payment links.
• Smart song search (Deezer) — When guests search for a song at your event, they get autocomplete results with album art and track info. Deezer is built in — no API key or setup required.
• Optional Last.fm matching — Connect your Last.fm API key in DJ Admin → Tools → Song Search if you want an extra metadata source for sharper track matching and richer album art when Deezer results are ambiguous.
• Even Realities G2 Glasses — Use the song-request HUD on Even Realities G2 (and compatible) glasses to see your events and approve or reject requests from your AR display. Available on Free and Pro.
• Request cooldown — Limit how often the same guest can submit a song request at your events. Choose a wait time (for example 30 seconds, 1 minute, or longer). Guests see a countdown until they can request again. Available on Free and Pro.
• QR Studio — Create branded QR codes for your public profile or a specific event. Customize shapes, colors, logos, and frames, then download for flyers, screens, or social. Available on Free and Pro.
• Event templates — Save go-to event name, description, location, schedule defaults, and password as reusable templates. Load a template when you create a new event so setup is faster. Manage them from DJ Admin → Events → Templates. Available on Free and Pro.
• Clipboard copy for DJ software — While you're live, tap the clipboard button on any song request to copy “Artist Song” to your clipboard. Paste into Serato, Rekordbox, Virtual DJ, or another browser tab to search your library fast without retyping. Available on Free and Pro.

Pro plan

$4.99/month — For professional DJs and event organizers who run more events and want deeper insights.

Pro includes everything on the Free plan, plus unlimited events, events up to 30 days long, advanced analytics, a song catalog (with CSV import) and pre-event request modes (Catalog or Any song), CSV export, DJ Integration, post-event request decisions, Already played from the Booth, song BPM & key on the Booth, and Request Board:

• Unlimited active events per month — No limit on how many events you can have active at once or per month. Run as many concurrent or monthly events as you need.
• Unlimited event edits — Edit your events as often as you need — update dates, passwords, settings, and other details with no monthly cap.
• Extended event duration — Free events can last up to 24 hours. Pro lets you run a single event for up to 30 days — useful for festivals, residencies, or multi-day weekends.
• Public events — Create events anyone with the link can open and request songs from — no event password required. Available on Free and Pro.
• Private events — Create private events that aren't open to the public the same way as a fully open link — guests need the access you share. Available on Free and Pro.
• Password-protected events — Add an event password so only guests with the shared password can submit song requests. Event password protection is free for all users on Free and Pro.
• Unlimited song requests per event — There is no cap on how many song requests an event can receive. Attendees can submit as many requests as you allow per your event settings.

• Advanced Analytics — Pro adds deeper analytics (top songs, trends, event performance, response times) so you can see how requests and events perform over time. Access from DJ Admin → Analytics.
• Song catalog — Build a personal song catalog, search and add tracks from Deezer, or import a playlist CSV (TuneMyMusic or catalog export), and reuse it across events. Pair it with Catalog pre-event mode so guests can request from your list before the show.
• Pre-event requests — On Pro events, choose how guests request songs before start: Off (closed until start), Catalog (from your song list), or Any song (free-form). Only one mode at a time. Early requests stay pending until the event begins and do not affect response-time analytics.
• CSV export — Export your events, song requests, and song catalog as CSV files from DJ Admin → Tools → Data. Download a ZIP of all events and requests, song requests for one event, or your catalog CSV to build playlists in your DJ software.
• DJ Integration (Beta) — Limited beta for approved Pro accounts. Connect TIDAL to export incoming requests automatically to an All Requests playlist and optional event playlists, then refresh them in supported DJ software. Pro membership makes an account eligible, but beta access requires approval and is not enabled automatically.
• Event Playlists — Pro workspace tool. Pick an event and create a one-time TIDAL playlist from every guest request on that event. Requires TIDAL connection; available when TIDAL access is enabled for your account.
• Post-event request decisions — Pro lets you approve or reject pending song requests after an event has ended from DJ Admin → Requests. Free plan users are prompted to upgrade when they try.
• Already played — Pro lets you mark a pending song request as already played from DJ Admin → Requests. Guests see “Played”; it’s stored as Spun so it stays distinct from a future live-set Played status. It still counts toward your approval analytics.
• Song BPM & key — Pro shows beats per minute (BPM) and either musical key or Camelot Wheel codes as pills on Booth song requests so you can mix faster. Choose Key or Camelot under Workspace → Song Search (Booth and glasses use the same preference). Free plans do not show BPM or key on the Booth.
• Request Board — Pro unlocks a per-event Request Board link. Open it on a TV or second computer so guests see the approved song queue and can scan a QR code to request. Access from DJ Admin → Events.
• Start & pause requests — Pro lets you open song requests before your scheduled start, or pause and resume them during a live event from DJ Admin → Events. Free events still auto-open and close on your start and end times.

Changing plans

Open DJ Admin → Subscription and click Manage Subscription. You'll go to Stripe's secure Customer Portal, where you can change plans, upgrade to Pro, or cancel. Your billing and payment methods are managed there; we never see or store your card details — only Stripe does.
