Set up your first event

Create an event, customize settings, and share your public link with attendees.

What is PlayThis.Live?

PlayThis.Live is a friendly audience-request tool for DJs. You sign up, create an event, and share your public request link (add it to your flyer or QR code). Guests open the link to request songs—no app install or attendee account required. During your set, keep app.playthis.live/dj-admin/requests open on your laptop or iPad to review, approve, or reject requests in real time.

Create the event

Go to DJ Admin → Events → Create Event. Add the event name, date, and visibility. Fill in the details and save. You can then open the event to copy its public request link and start sharing it with your audience.

Public vs. private profile and events

You can choose to be a public DJ (visible on the /events page, no profile password) or a private DJ (not on /events; you set a profile password and share it with guests). Each event can also be public (no event password) orprivate (event password required). Private DJ + private event means guests enter two passwords: your profile password, then the event password. For the full breakdown, see Event privacy.

Set your profile in DJ Admin → Profile; set per-event password in the event settings.

Customize requests

Enable request filters and set per-user limits to keep things organized. You can also configure whether the event is public or password-protected from the event settings.

Open your event in DJ Admin → Events and click View public page to copy the event link. Share it on social, put it on your flyer, or print a QR code. During the show, open app.playthis.live/dj-admin/requests on your laptop or iPad to manage incoming requests live.

For a QR code of your public profile (so people can find your events), go to DJ Admin → QR Code. You can view and download your QR there to use on flyers and at events.

Devices and browsers

For DJs, modern desktop browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge) and iPad work best. For attendees, any modern mobile browser works—no app installs needed. The DJ Admin includes a clean Live View so you can monitor incoming requests on a larger display during a show.
