🎡 Song catalog

Catalog songs, CSV import, and pre-event request modes (Off, Catalog, Any song).

🎡 Song catalog

Build a reusable catalog and control how guests request tracks before your event starts (Pro).

What is the song catalog?

The song catalog is a personal list of tracks you curate. It is saved to your DJ profile and can be reused across multiple events. When you set an event's pre-event mode to Catalog, guests browse this list and submit requests before the event startsβ€”no need for them to search the whole library early.

The catalog is a Pro feature. Free users can view an overview but need to upgrade to build and use a catalog.

Building your catalog

Go to DJ Admin β†’ Catalog. There you can:

  • Search by song or artist β€” Type at least two characters to search Deezer. Results appear as you type. If you turned Last.fm On under DJ Admin β†’ Workspace β†’ Song Search, Last.fm can supplement search results.
  • Import CSV β€” Use Import CSV (or How to import) to load a TuneMyMusic playlist export or a PlayThis.Live catalog CSV. Preview Deezer matches, then add the tracks you wantβ€”including songs Deezer did not find.
  • Add songs β€” Click Add on any result to add it to your catalog. Each song is stored once per DJ.
  • Remove songs β€” Use the remove (trash) action on any row to take a song out of your catalog.

Your catalog is tied to your account. You have one catalog that you can reuse for every event where you choose the Catalog pre-event mode.

Importing a playlist CSV

CSV import is included with Pro. Free accounts can open the in-app import guide but need to upgrade to import. Each file can include up to 150 songs; split larger playlists into batches.

  1. Export a playlist as CSV (for example from TuneMyMusic with destination File / CSV), or use a PlayThis.Live catalog export.
  2. Open DJ Admin β†’ Catalog and choose Import CSV.
  3. Wait while tracks are matched on Deezer, review the preview, select rows (including unmatched titles/artists if you want them), then Add selected to catalog.

Your file should include Track name or Title, and Artist name or Artist. Extra columns (Album, ISRC, and so on) are ignored.

Pre-event requests

On Pro, when you create or edit an event, choose how guests can request songs before the event starts. Pick one mode at a time:

  • Off β€” Guests cannot request until the event starts (same as Free).
  • Catalog β€” Guests pick only from your song catalog before the show.
  • Any song β€” Guests can submit free-form requests before the event starts.

To use Catalog mode:

  1. Build your catalog in DJ Admin β†’ Catalog.
  2. Create or edit an event in DJ Admin β†’ Events.
  3. Set pre-event requests to Catalog in that event's settings.
  4. Share the event's public link. Attendees pick from your catalog; requests join the queue as pending until the event starts.

For Any song, set the same control to Any song and share the linkβ€”guests use the normal request form before start.

Pre-event requests (Catalog or Any song) stay pending and cannot be approved or rejected until the event begins. They do not count toward your response-time analytics the way live requests do.

Exporting your catalog

You can download your catalog as a CSV file (Title, Artist, Album Cover URL, Song URL) from DJ Admin β†’ Settings β†’ Data. In the Data section, use Export catalog CSV. The same page also lets you export all your events and song requests. Catalog export is available with a Pro (or higher) subscription.
